Het bevordert en beloont beste praktijken in het gebruik van openbare data voor sociale en commerci\u00eble toepassingen. De EU Datathon-finale, die in oktober 2022 in Brussel plaatsvond, maakte deel uit van het Europees Jaar van de Jeugd en werd online uitgezonden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In zijn openingstoespraak prees commissaris Johannes Hahn de innovatieve aanpak van de teams en onderstreepte hij de sterke positieve impact op verantwoording, transparantie, participatie, inclusie en democratie. Volgens Hilde Hardeman, directeur-generaal van het EU-publicatiebureau, is de geest van de EU-Datathon het gebruik van open data ten behoeve van de samenleving en de burgers. &quot;De deelnemende teams bewijzen keer op keer dat data helpen om nieuwe inzichten te cre\u00ebren door middel van toepassingen en datavisualisatie&quot;, aldus Hardeman bij de introductie van de finalisten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image alignleft size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"100\" height=\"164\" src=\"https:\/\/hermix.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/IMG_20221020_170106__01-183x300-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2508\" style=\"width:113px;height:auto\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">De markt voor overheidsopdrachten is enorm, met een wereldwijde omzet van \u20ac13 biljoen en \u20ac2 biljoen alleen al in Europa, die wordt besteed door 250.000 overheidsinkopers. Tegelijkertijd is deze markt complex en moeilijk toegankelijk. In tegenstelling tot de business-to-consumer- en business-to-businessmarkten, beschikt de publieke sector niet over tools voor analyses, intelligentie en segmentatie.
